Creating the Park
Theodora Park was created thanks to the generous support of the City of Charleston – former Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. and Members of City Council – Charleston Parks Conservancy, and many private individuals who shared the vision for the park. Together they have made possible a legacy we hope will be enjoyed for many generations.

Maintaining the Park
The Theodora Park Fund
Theodora Park Stewards are committed to maintaining the park at the highest possible level. Charleston Parks Conservancy has the lead responsibility for the park’s maintenance, working closely with the City.
To assure that adequate funds are available, we have established the Theodora Park Fund at BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Generous individuals have already contributed to the Fund, and we welcome additional contributions. When fully funded, the Theodora Park Fund will assure the park’s highest level of maintenance well into the future.
Contributions should be directed to BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund, with Theodora Park Fund noted on the ‘memo’ line. (BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund does not accommodate contributions of less than $250.) Contributions should be sent to Carlos S. Byrne, BNY Charitable Gift Fund, 201 Washington Street, Suite 024-0062, Boston, MA 02108. For further information, kindly contact Carlos Byrne at Carlos.Byrne@BNYMellon.com.
